The Deuce - 1976 AM General M35A2
This is my M35A2, also known as a "deuce and a half" or a "6x6". I recently
picked this up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It only has 40,000 miles on it and it
drives like it is brand new.
It is called a 6x6 because it has 6 drive axles, and all 10 tires get power.
It's known as a "deuce and a half" because it has a 2.5 ton capacity when
hauling off-road. It's on-road capacity is actually 5 tons. It is powered
by a Continental/Hercules LDT465 turbo-diesel, and has a Spicer
5+2 transmission.
