Test two: In-car installation

During testing of the Jiffy-tite quick-connect fluid fittings, I had decided to
replace the connection from my fuel line to my carburetor. This would require
removing the current AN fitting, and replacing it with the Jiffy-tite fitting.

I recalled reading at the A.E.D. Motorsports web page that you could use vise
grips to secure the Koul Tool instead of a vise. I thought to myself, "If that
works, I could replace this fitting right here in the car. No need to unthread
the other end of the fuel line, remove the line and drag it over to the vise."

I do not own a vise grip that will open the 1.5 inches required to clamp over
the -8 Koul Tool. I suspect most people don't. However, a small c-clamp
seemed to work just perfectly.

I removed the existing AN fitting. The hose was frayed 10 times worse than in
the previous test, as I was now dealing with a used hose. Unfortunately I did
not get a photograph of it, but take my word - it was bad. Under normal
circumstances, I would have cut an inch of length from the hose to achieve a
fresh end. But thanks to the Koul Tool, I didn't have to worry about that.

I lubed the tool, placed it on top of the hose, and began turning it.

10 seconds later, I was finished!

And just another minute or two to finish assembling the fitting:

I was floored. Frankly, this tool is nothing short of amazing. As soon as I
sell a couple of pints of plasma, I may have to order the large kit as well!
