Installation, Part 2

Next, I began the mock-up of the braided lines to between the 200T1 transmission
kit and the hard lines at the radiator. I removed the AN nuts from the fittings
and found that a 3/8" hose fit perfectly over the threads, which made for a
great mock-up tool. Just keep cutting the hose until you have the perfect length,
and use that as a gauge for cutting your braided line. You know how expensive
braided is; you don't want to make a mistake when cutting it.

Here are the assembled lines. I used plugs at each end of one line, and sockets
at each end of the other, so the lines will bever get mismatched. I used the
Koul Tool to make the assembly of the braided lines easier.

Here are the lines assembled and installed. The fittings have a nice tight fit.

The entire process only took about an hour, and most of that was taken up by
the assembly of the braided lines and AN fittings. I started the car and ran
it through the gears for a few minutes to check for leaks - not a drop!

I thought to myself, "Some fluid will probably drip out when I disconnect one
of the fittings." Lo and behold, it remained dry as a bone.
Call me impressed.
